Safe Candle Use

     Never leave a burning candle unattended.

     Burn Candle out of reach of children and pets.

     Always leave at least 10 cm between burning candles.

     Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire.  

     Place candles in an upright position.

     Do not place candles in a draught.

     Do not place candles near a source of heat.

     Check candle regularly. Do not allow to burn away completely.

     Trim wick to about 1 cm before lighting.

     Always snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out.

     Burn candle outdoors (never indoors).

     Light the top of the candles and do not move a burning candle.

     Floating candles should only be used in suitable water filled bowls.

     Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring. If enlarged or second flame occurs, extinguish candle immediately.

     Use a suitable glass or holder as these candles liquefy when burning.

     Only use tea light in holders and warming stoves with sufficient ventilation.

     Always leave at least 6cm above a burning candle. Use tea lights without fragrance in aluminium holders only.

      Place votive candles on a surface that will not be damaged by heat. Do not burn on other warm place.

     Burn outdoors or in a lantern only.

     Novelty candles are designed to be decorative. Burn on a large holder as irregularly shaped novelty candles may drip profusely.

     Flower rings are a decoration only. Remove rings before lighting.

     Never use liquid to extinguish.
