The base comprises of an abstract depiction of a cross in a golden finish, with four engraved nails at the end of each crossbar. The background is decorated with engraved shapes and lines in a golden finish, portraying sunburst rays. The same designed style can be found on the lectern's body, and hanging on the back of the lectern for added decoration. The stand features a red cushion to create a soft bedding, and the ledge keeps the book upright when in use.
