Our Lady of Medjugorje is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary when she appeared to six Herzegovinian children in Medjugorje, Bosnia & Herzegovina in 1981. The children claimed they saw this apparition on Podbrdo Hill, and again encountered Our Lady the day after. She appeared to the children with an infant in her arms, and her beauty has been described as "something ethereal, something heavenly". Our Lady is described as wearing a pure white veil covering her head and shoulders, wearing a crown of 12 gold stars on her head, standing atop a cloud.Â
