Our Lady is another title given to Mary, a first-century BC Galilean Jewish woman of Nazareth and the mother of Jesus. Mary is known by a significantly large amount of titles, some of which grew due to geographic and cultural reasons, and others were related to Marian apparitions. Her help is sought for a large spectrum of human needs in a variety of different situations. The 'Our Lady' title given to Mary is a common title to give Her as a sign of respect and honour.
